The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Irrigation (MoALF) has developed the Agricultural Sector Growth and Transformation Strategy (ASTGS) drawn from nine flagship that serve as the core of 10-year strategy. These flagships draw on the status of agriculture today, a rigorous and thorough review of data, lessons from global best practices, and local realities. The actions inherent in these flagships are bold and ambitious. They will help to transform the agriculture sector in Kenya, drive 100% food and nutrition security, and ensure food is affordable, especially for those most in need.   10. This publication gives guidelines on how to initiate, develop and sustain Irrigation Acceleration Platforms (IAPs). They are for hosts and facilitators of IAPs as well as organizations interested in playing an active role in an IAP. Many others involved in promoting inclusive innovation processes and stakeholder collaboration in agricultural development may find them of interest too.   11. The Association of Irrigation Acceleration Platform (AIAP) convened a stakeholder workshop which was held in Nairobi at the Hotel Intercontinental, on Thursday, 6th December 2018. The stakeholders included; policy makers, researchers, private sector actors, financial institutions, development partners, tech companies, NGOs and service providers. The workshop was designed to share knowledge and build partnerships for working together in harmony and thus facilitate contribute towards infusing science, technology and innovation in irrigation and for achievement of the Big Four Agenda, focusing on the pillar of Food and Nutrition Security. The Finance working group is a collection of people /organization who come together to engaged from time to time to brainstorm, formulate, give feedback, give insights and own a process that requires their particular expertise or time and explore more on Smart Finance for Smart Water Solutions. The finance working group workshop dubbed Exploring Innovative finance models to scale Smart Water Solutions was held on Friday 28th September 2018.
