IRRIGATION WEBINAR
Irrigation for Drought Resilience: Drought is a common disaster in Kenya, affecting about 84% of the land and sometimes all corners of the country. Drought results in lack of water, crop failures, livestock deaths, famines, poverty and generally disruptions of livelihoods and the economy. Yet drought is an expected phenomenon whose adaptation and resilience can be managed. Irrigation offers a sustainable solution to drought resilience, since it starts with development of water supplies.
Indeed, where there is irrigation, the impacts of drought are neutralized!
